All of us walked about the room and talked to them to make sure they were ok. And we got to have some tea and scones we were happy when we got that and they all enjoyed their selves  so much that they wanted to come again .They thanked us all for it  at the end we all got to have some tea and scones. We all enjoyed it and so did the over 50s, Mrs Kirk, Mrs Mohin.  We need to make thank you cards for them because they let us use their tables and chairs for the hour and a half . The six of us all enjoyed it.

Ground Force Day

Posted on May 12, 2010 in Uncategorized by p6kinmyliesgarden

On Saturday 8th of May some adults, parents, children and teachers came and helped with everything that was there to do. People were painting the Primary 6 garden fence Red and we almost got all of the fence painted. All the little ones that came to the Ground Force Day were to do the litter picking and we started making our bottle greenhouse. We had to wash the  2000 bottles before we made the greenhouse. But before that we had to get the bottles cut around the bottom of them. Then we put them around bamboo canes and stuck them to the greenhouse to make the walls of the greenhouse. Then we painted the benches blue and red and the sheds green. The left over grass from the garden we used it for the mud patches on the football pitch. One of the parents made us a tree seat. We planted some shrubs for the year of biodiversity to start our woodland trail. By Callum Maclean and William Robertson P.6

Posted on April 22, 2010 in Uncategorized by p6kinmyliesgarden

We’ve done a lot of work to the garden and we’ve done a lot of planting in some pots. We have put up the frame of the green house so we can build it. We will do this on our ground force day on 8th May. Then it will be ready for the plants to grow. The flowers are growing fast,  so soon we will be able to plant them in the garden. The Birdhouse has attracted a lot of birds and soon we’ll need to get more food for the birds. P6 is enjoying doing the garden as a project.  The raised beds will  soon be filled with different kinds of flowers. We had to plant some healthy Vegetables. We can’t wait to eat all the vegetables.
